Havana Toronto Safari is a musical overview of the trajectory to the Afrocuban Jazz from Cuba all the way to Canada. It takes the audience in a journey from the traditional form of Cuban jazz dated in the early 40th and 50th to New Orleans, where Latin music and American jazz meet for the first time, all the way up through New York, where all these musical currents became universally know, and finally emerging in Toronto, where local musicians have developed unique ways of interpreting this music influenced by all this great trajectory .

The repertory is base in Cuban’s jazz compositions, New Orleans second line and jazz standards, New York latin Songs and bebop, as well as original compositions from Toronto’s musicians, with Darryl Joseph-Dennie on piano, Paco Luviano on bass, Gary Lee Hill on guitars, Vernon Dorge on saxes, and David Dunlop on trumpet, lead by Joaquin Núñez Hidalgo (video) on drums and percussion, and with Andrew Craig as story teller.
