The next generations of Canadians—our children and grandchildren—will be vital to the protection and conservation of the environment.
Just a few days ago, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, was joined by curious young minds at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School to launch Climate Kids, an interactive website for children.
Climate Kids focuses on empowering children and teens aged 8 to 15 years to take action on climate change. The website helps children talk about this important issue with their friends and family and provides tips on how they can take action in their daily lives, at home, at school, and in their communities.
«You’re never too young or too old to start taking climate action. Getting our children talking and involving them early will better equip them to become strong leaders, thinkers, and problem solvers in the global effort towards a cleaner, more prosperous Canada for generations to come,», said Minister McKenna.
